This video is special because my body does not allow me to take rides like I could in my bachpan. This is partly because of my disability, my back giving up on me and probably my age. Otherwise the child in me can never go away. But I am glad to steal a few moments and memories in my childhood of the special happiness of going to an amusement park. It was different back then because Baba would hold me in his lap and take me on every swing. I would feel shy and scared to see so many people. Later Bhaijan would make arrangements and even sit with me attimes.
Sigh! How much I took for granted. What seemed like a moment of butterflies in my tummy everytime a ride would take speed later became one of my most cherished memories of life, a reminder to live and nurture and care for people who care for you. Thank you @joyland.lahore for being a part of our bachpan!
Let this video be a reminder to enjoy every moment of life. Seek what you can and what you cant. Enjoy life because many in this world can only dream. I so wish amusement parks in Pakistan can become more disabled friendly so the joy and the smile of either being on Pirate ship or Tea cups can continue with us from our bachpan to burhapa. Because why not! π π’π€Έπ©βπ¦Όπ‘
