The Bluff – Poem

July 25, 2018

I wrote a poem

In this age of wants and wishes
I too set on a path to seek riches

I wanted to go to school
To get myself approved
They said, ‘No Mam we arent accessible, you gotta get flexible’
So I learned from walls and sources
Until I got rid of remorses

I wanted to go to Office
To apply my skills and tricks I had learned
They said, ‘No Mam we aren’t accessible, you gotta get flexible’
So I applied my skills on broken toys
Until I got rid of the sad voice

I wanted to get married
To cook, clean and create life in me
They said, ‘ No Mam we aren’t accessible, you gotta get flexible’
So I picked a glass to end the chaos
But saw my reflection and my gloss

I wanted to live to laugh
Life said, ‘Smile my sweets, they all bluff’

Spread the love
