Welcome to Jahan-e-Jahan Ara

August 4, 2021

Who knew one day I could move my hands and arm and learn the dance of Kathak. Playing with clay and feeling every inch of my body connect with my creator. I got a chance to meet ‘Daughters of Lahore’ and learn Khatati and Niqashi. I also learned movement and balance that made me cherish my disability even more. Please take a few minutes to appreciate me and my team who developed these moments for you to appreciate and understand how much Lahore offers.

So let me take you to Jahan e Jahan ara. This is a community you can’t miss being a part of! In the heart of Lahore, there is a world where everyone is welcome, loved and can feel secure. It’s a world of art, culture and craftsmanahip. This world is Jahan e Jahanara. Pioneered by Sheherezad e alam who gives us all so much love and a community to feel belonged to. She is the mother of late Jahan Ara whom we lost too soon.

Note: JAHAN-E-JAHANARA is a cultural center for children, established in an oasis of historical trees, a bird sanctuary within a century old building, It is an island where children can acquire that essential but rare experience of their cultural heritage; it is an opportunity for them to explore their creative potential in a systematic manner under expert guidance.
